Kristie Pike starting dancing at the age of 5 at her local dance studio, Steps2stardom Performing Arts Academy. She has trained in a number of styles over the years leading to her finding her love for contemporary dance. She chose to move schools to complete her HSC at Newtown Performing Arts High school graduating in 2011.
Kristie was invited to perform and audition in 2012 at the National High Schools Dance Festival in Philadelphia, USA with Newtown Performing Arts where she received a number of scholarships. She decided to further her training in 2013 by completing the Jason Winters Classical and Contemporary Course, attaining her Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance).
During 2016 Kristie returned from Italy where she was able to train with a number of reknown commercial and contemporary choreographers. In this same year she performed in Locreado Dance Company’s ‘Nothing’, choreographed by Loredo Malcom and guest choreographer Amy Campbell.
In previous years Kristie has been on secondments with The Australian Dance Theatre(SA) and contemporary choreographer Shaun Parker(VIC). She has also had the opportunity to perform in Expression Dance Company’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and also performed in Revolving Door ’13 Rooms’, a Kaldor Arts Project in collaboration with Rafael Bonachela (Director of Sydney Dance Company).
Kristie looks forward to working/performing with Limitless Dance Company.
